Nigeria's petroleum industry is the largest in Africa with proven Oil and Gas reserves of 37 billion barrels (bbl) and 192 trillion cubic feet respectively. The sector contributes about 10% to the country's Gross Domestic Product and accounts for 95% of all exports.
With on-going reforms in the sector, Nigeria is positioning herself to be the foremost oil and gas investment destination. President Muhammadu Buhari recently inaugurated the Nigeria International Petroleum Summit (NIPS) in Abuja, which held the maiden edition between Feb. 19th, 2018 and Feb. 23rd, 2018 as a fundamental oil and gas industry platform aimed at linking the country to the world of engineering and technological advancement.
The official Nigeria International Petroleum Summit will therefore create the perfect platform for the world to meet Nigeria's Oil and Gas industry players; and an international exhibition of economic operators, national and international companies and potential investors coming together to present new technologies and know-how in the petroleum sector.
Whitepage International Concept (WPIC) gave a presentation at the summit on the company’s activities and operation for the search of hydrocarbon in the country; also an exhibition of some petroleum source rocks samples which attracted several potential Investors and Stakeholders, including oil and gas correspondents and experts from various countries.
